Day 6 of FIP treatment and it’s yet another vet day!

May 6

@ 1730 took her into the vet to be weighed and temp taken and we got a good news bad news scenario.
Temp @ 97.2 so her fever broke, but she now her temp is super low!! Her weight is now 5.26 pounds so she’s dropping weight quickly, by about 0.1 pounds every 2 days. Not terrible but not the best. Her breathing sounds fine so no fluid in the lungs and she’s breathing normally. Her heart rate is @ 180bpm, perfectly normal.

Brought her home and the best thing happened! When she got out of her carrier SHE RAN!! All the way to her couch, jumped up on her cat tree to the first level, then the next lever, then tried for the top level! she almost didn’t make it so I grabbed her and put her up there. She hasn’t ran or wanted to be up high in quite a long time! Progress! But she is not eating that much, and I don’t see her drinking water so will have to continue with the saline solution.

After consulting with the vet team, we were instructed to give the medicine at the same dose but twice a day for at least 5 days to speed up the healing.
